Quote comparison
Compare two loan quotes
A lower rate is not always the cheaper loan. Enter two quotes with their fees to see which one costs less over the whole term.
Good to know
- This is a guide only, not a quote, an offer of finance or financial advice. It assumes the rate stays the same for the whole term and every repayment is made on time.
- Upfront fees are counted as paid at the start. If a lender adds them to the loan instead, that quote costs a little more than shown, because you also pay interest on the fees.
- A longer term or a balloon lowers each repayment but usually means paying more in total. Check you can afford the repayment and plan for any balloon.
- Also compare what the numbers do not show: early repayment fees, whether you can make extra repayments, fixed or variable rates and what the loan is secured against. In Australia, ask each lender for the comparison rate.
