How we protect your information
Applying for finance means sharing personal and business details. This page explains, in plain words, how this website keeps them safe, and what you can do to stay safe too.
Private connection
Every page is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and browsers are told never to use an unencrypted one for this site.
Locked-away documents
Documents you upload are encrypted (AES-256) before they are stored. Only our review team can open them, plus our lender partners if you choose to share approved documents.
No ad trackers
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell your details.
Your account
- Passkeys: you can sign in with a passkey (your phone's or computer's fingerprint, face or PIN unlock). A passkey only works on our real website, so it cannot be tricked into signing in to a fake copy.
- Passwords: if you use a password, we never store it as written. We keep only a scrambled fingerprint of it that cannot be turned back into the password, and we do not accept a new password that has appeared in a known data breach (checked without ever sending your password anywhere).
- Wrong passwords: after 8 wrong tries the account is locked for 15 minutes, which stops people guessing.
- Your devices: on My account you can see every device that is signed in, sign any of them out, and download a copy of your data.
- Sign-in cookie: you stay signed in with a single cookie that page scripts cannot read and that is never sent from other websites. You are signed out after 7 days without use, or 30 days at most.
Your documents
- Only PDF, JPG and PNG files are accepted, and each file is checked by its content, not just its name.
- Inside our team, only staff with a review role can open documents, and every time a document is opened, downloaded or reviewed it is written to an activity log.
- Our lender partners never see your documents unless you tick "share with lender partners" on your account, and even then only documents our team has approved. You can untick it at any time.
Staying safe from scams
- Our website address is payintimeglobal.org. Check the address bar before you sign in or upload anything.
- Our staff cannot see your password and never need it. If anyone asks for your password, passkey or a password-reset link, even if they say they are from Pay In Time, do not share it and call us on 0419 182 804.
- Be careful with anyone who promises that a loan is guaranteed. Every application is assessed, and no one can promise approval in advance.
