Property purchase cost estimator
Add up the cash you need to buy a property: your deposit plus duty, legal, inspection, lender and moving costs. See the loan amount and loan-to-value too.
What these numbers mean
- The big number is the cash you need upfront: your deposit plus duty, fees and other costs.
- Loan-to-value (LVR) is the loan amount as a share of the price. See LVR.
- Duty uses the amount you entered. Stamp duty rules differ by place.
- If you add a rate, the monthly repayment is an estimate for the loan amount over your term.
Good to know
- Stamp duty, transfer tax and fees are the amounts you type. We do not work them out; check your government calculator and your quotes.
- Lender fees are counted as cash paid upfront here, not added to the loan.
- The repayment is principal and interest at one rate for the whole term. Rates can change.
- This is a guide only, not a quote, an offer of finance, a borrowing limit or financial, legal or tax advice.
