Crop input planner
Add up seed, fertiliser and chemical costs, the finance until harvest, and see your margin and break-even price per tonne.
What these numbers mean
- The big number is your expected margin: expected income minus input costs and finance costs.
- Finance cost to harvest is the interest on your input costs for the months until harvest.
- Break-even price per tonne is the price you need just to cover your costs (your break-even point).
- Margin per hectare or acre spreads the margin across your area.
Good to know
- Finance cost is simple interest on all input costs from planting until harvest income arrives.
- Yield and price are your own estimates. Seasons, quality and markets can change the real result.
- Land, machinery, labour and selling costs are not included unless you add them to other costs.
- This is a guide only, not a quote, an offer of finance, a borrowing limit or financial, legal or tax advice.
