A general list of what lenders commonly ask for. Each lender decides what it needs, so you may be asked for more or less. Nothing you choose or tick is sent or saved.

Tips for getting documents ready

  • Make sure copies are clear and complete: every page of a statement, both sides of an ID card.
  • Use recent documents. Statements and payslips are usually expected to be from the last few months.
  • Keep a list of anything you cannot provide and why. It is better to explain early than to leave it out.
  • Upload documents through My account: they are encrypted and only our staff can open them.
