Vehicle cost per km
Add up what a work vehicle really costs to run each year, and what that comes to for every kilometre.
What these numbers mean
- The big number is your total yearly running cost divided by the kilometres you drive in a year.
- Each line shows one cost a year and its share per km.
- Loss in value is depreciation: how much the vehicle is worth less each year.
Good to know
- Fuel is worked out from your fuel use and price, which both change. Everything else is the yearly figure you type.
- Finance repayments and loss in value overlap in part (both reflect the vehicle's price), so many people use one or the other, not both.
- Tolls, parking, cleaning, the driver's time and tax are not counted.
- This is a guide only, not a quote, an offer of finance, a borrowing limit or financial, legal or tax advice.
